The Mormon Scholars Foundation is organized as a limited liability company in the state of Virginia. It is governed by a board of directors consisting of scholars and donors. A program committee composed of Latter-day Saint scholars develops program ideas for approval by the board of directors. Individual committees are appointed by the program committee to organize each conference. The summer seminar is under the direction of Richard Bushman and Terryl Givens.
