The conference for Latter-day Saint graduate students at divinity schools and in religious studies programs held at Yale Divinity School February 16-17, 2007 took “Faith and Knowledge” as its theme. That title has been extended to cover all Foundation-sponsored conferences. It points to the tensions that arise between religious faith and scholarly inquiry and the promise of their reconciliation in the scriptural injunction to “seek learning, even by study and also by faith” (D&C 88:118).
Information on the 2009 Faith and Knowledge conference can be found here.
A Conference on 'Interpretation: Latter-day Saint Perspectives' was held at Southern Virginia University, May 16-17, 2008 in collaboration with Mormon Scholars in the Humanities based at Brigham Young University.
